Summer Research Task: Treaty of Waitangi

My research task is all about questions of waitangi. Waitangi happened in 1840 when the British came to New Zealand to take the land. They signed a treaty that said they have to share the land and live in peace. They then had to share everything and the British would bring them food and do good deeds. If the British never came then we would all be speaking Maori in the country.

Waitangi Card

Today I have written about my follow up and the question was “In what ways is a contract like a hat?” in my task it says why I think it is like a hat because it could be blown away or forgotten. This week we are learning about Waitangi becasuse we have to remember what New Zealand and British did in 1840. Please have a look at my task to see the photos I posted and why I think a treaty is like a hat.
