Summer T4W5 Simplest Forms B4

This week in maths are learning about HCF. HCF means highest common factor, it is the largest number that can divide both the numerator and the denominator. You can learn how to simplify fractions very easily, I learnt it straight away. On the last page we had to solve a question and I think the answer to it was 1/3 because there was 15 and she only likes one flavour, there is 3. Each flavour has 5 different packs and her favourite was honey so it is 1/3

Summer T4W3 Improper Fractions B4

This week for maths we have been learning about improper fractions. Improper fractions is when the numerator is bigger then the denominator. It is also when you have got more than a whole so there is quarters left. Last week we did mixed numbers to improper now this week we are doing Improper fractions to mixed numbers.

Today for our maths task we were learning about improper fractions. We were learning about different kinds of fractions and they were all very easy to learn. It was also about the mixed numbers and fractions. Please check out my task about my maths because I was working very hard and also I have been learning hard about it.

Summer 6 Questioned math

Today we were making 6 questions for the things that we have learnt this term for maths. We had to do two subtractions 2 division and two multiplication. I had to say how you work each of them out and how to answer them. I did it for all 6 questions and it was very easy to do because I had already understood it.

Summer T3W10 Revision B4

This week for maths we were working out questions using our division we already know.We had ten different questions about maori laanguage week because it had something related to it in each question. Maori language week is fun because we get to celebrate the maori culture and talk about it. We were also learning about revision which is a new thing because we have never learnt about it. I like to learn new things because it is very fun to learn about.

Summer T3W7 Division B4

For this week we have been learning about division and remainders. They were very easy to learn because I learnt it as soon as my teach explained it. This task is about different question and solving them using division questions. We have learnt that remainders is an even number divided by an odd number. You can still work it out. For example 19 divided by 5= 3r4.

Summer T3W3 Multiplication B4

On Monday we started our maths task all about multiplying. Multiplying is timetables and it is all about adding on. For example if your question was 4 x 8 your answer would be 36. Summer Subtraction Word Problems B4

Here is my maths task for this week and it is all about subtracting maths questions. Last week we did both addition and subtraction but this week we are only doing subtracting now. These numbers were very high numbers and at start I thought we were doing addition but we were actually doing subtraction so I had to delete all of the work I had done. Here is my maths task for this week and I have finished it. My maths task is all about ordering numbers which means the biggest number will come first. The smaller number will be last and you have to work out which number is the biggest number. Sometimes it can be hard but other times it will be pretty easy.
