On Friday it was the real cross country Year 2 boys and girls ran. My house colour is Hikianalia. My Nan came to watch me. I like cross country. I came in 15th Place.
Whaea Kiri asked tamariki from Rm 24 to draw a picture of a marae (meeting house) using chalk on the blackboard inside Te Whare Ako for Maori language week. We learnt that you take your shoes off before you enter and there is no food allowed inside.
Last week Room 27 did a dance.Their moves were awesome. I liked how they danced.It’s gonna be on PENN. My class watched it on the big tv.
Coach Chelsea has been teaching us how to field and bat for the game Tee-ball and play as a team to get the batter out.
I have learnt to run around the bases and try to get “home” before the other team gets me out!
Summer was awarded a Duffy certificate from Miss West for: creating a beautiful first piece of digital art on the iMac in Creative Space. Well done from Mrs Carter.
On Thursday team 2 went on a bus to visit MOTAT the museum of transport and technology. What did you like the best the old things or the new things? I like the mini robots because we can program it to move the move the cardboard tubes. And my favourite part was building six we got to eat are lunch and morning tea we had so much fun the person from MOTAT was Damon. there were old cellphones there were some new things too.
